The Art of Living Awake was founded in Melbourne in Australia in 2006 and has been offering Awakening programs, courses, events and resources to thousands of people interested in awakening and living their authentic and limitless true nature.

It was founded by Arion Light as a way to share the unique gifts and wisdom he has been offered from the great stillness within. This wisdom is like a great big cosmic library governed and directed by our collective universal spirit. It has the divine purpose and unwavering commitment to assist humanity to again remember their true nature and activate the seeds of wisdom, light and love that dwell within. The Art of Living Awake is here to share these gifts with you, an invitation to return to your own heart and live from the deepest calling of your soul.

To ‘Live Awake’ is to realize your true divine nature beyond the limited perspective of your personal identity made up of thoughts, feelings and sensations. This wisdom is here to assist you to make this shift from duality and separation to anchor your consciousness in who you really are and live true to this in every living moment.

From the moment we enter the realm of human consciousness we are bombarded with the energies of thought, feeling and sensation until they form a cloud blocking the light of the source from where we come. Then, having forgotten our true nature we adopt this limited perception as ‘I’. This ‘I’ yearns for its true nature but cannot see it through the fog so to cope with the yearning it goes numb and falls ‘asleep’.

In this sleepy state we are overtaken by the consciousness of duality, knocked around like a lifeboat in wild seas. We fall into the trap of believing what we want and need is outside us and seek to get this to fill the hole within. Our whole life becomes an attempt to fill this hole, but nothing outside us ever fulfills the deep yearning within. We either give up and settle for a life of survival, or we follow the calling within.
This calling is what has led you here today, it is the part of all of us that has never forgotten who we really are. It is this calling that I and the Art of Living Awake serves. This calling is the sweet sound of our wholeness inviting us to dance as one with all life, and create as one with limitless creative power and possibilities.

Yet this calling is not without its challenges for it invites you to dissolve every illusion, every thought, feeling and sensation that you hold on to. In setting you free this calling will destroy the ‘I’ that traps you into believing you are this human personality. Thus to awaken we must go through an identity death, a giving up all we think we are and all we think we are not until there is nothing left but the truth.

This is the Art of Living Awake, to die in each moment to who you think you are and allow your true nature to fill you and guide you. Through all of this material, be it on sex, love or money, the one true purpose is to assist in the dissolving of illusions and the return home to that which has always been there.
